Rodent Control in Surrey

Fast, effective mouse and rat control, backed by root cause analysis so the problem doesn’t come back.

Rodents are more than a nuisance. Mice and rats spread disease, damage property and multiply quickly once they’ve found a way in. At Peacocks Pest Control, we don’t just remove the rodents you can see, we identify how they got in and why, so we can close the problem down for good.

Signs You Have a Rodent Problem

Rodents are often heard before they’re seen. If you’re noticing any of the following, it’s worth getting a survey booked before the problem grows.

  • Droppings in cupboards, lofts or under appliances

  • Gnaw marks on wood, cables or food packaging

  • Scratching noises in walls or ceilings, particularly at night

  • Nesting material such as shredded paper or fabric

  • A stale, musty smell in enclosed spaces

Our Approach

1. Free Survey

We start with a free, no-obligation survey to identify the species, the scale of the problem and how they’re getting in.

Why Rodent Problems Escalate Quickly

  • 1
Rapid breeding, a single pair of mice can produce dozens of offspring within a few months

  • 2
Gnawing damage to wiring, insulation and stored goods, sometimes creating fire risk

  • 3
Contamination of food and surfaces through droppings and urine

  • 4
Nesting in loft spaces, wall cavities and behind appliances, often unnoticed until numbers grow

Mice or Rats? Know What You're Dealing With

Mice and rats are often treated as the same problem, but they behave differently, and that changes how we approach treatment. Here’s what sets them apart.

Mouse Control
Mice breed quickly and can squeeze through gaps as small as 6mm, making them tricky to keep out once they’ve found a way in. We focus on locating nests and entry points fast, before numbers get out of hand.

Rat Control
Rats pose a greater risk to cabling, pipework and structural timber, and carry more serious disease risks than mice. Treatment usually takes a more targeted, multi-visit approach to fully clear a site.
